Fundraising and Communications Officer

This is a full-time, paid position that reports directly to the Senior Fundraising and Development Manager within the Fundraising and Development division. We are ideally looking for someone who is able to start immediately and has the right to work in Hong Kong.

Impact of this role

We are looking for an energetic and motivated individual who can help our Fundraising and Development Manager grow Enrich's income from Foundation, Corporate funders and Individuals, and help with donor communications. Key Responsibilities

As a key part of a small team, you will be responsible to:

1. Secure grants from Foundations & Corporate Funders

  • Identify and research Family and Corporate foundation funding opportunities
  • Write well-structured applications to smaller funders, identifying clearly how funding will deliver project outcomes
  • Assist in drafting applications for larger funders
  • Work with programme colleagues to ensure project proposals are realistic and deliverable
  • Send acknowledgement letters and receipts to funders

2. Monitor and report to funders on progress

  • Liaise with programme staff to identify all information needed to report to funders
  • Help colleagues to gather feedback, photos, evidence and case studies/stories, as required
  • Write accurate reports for funders that demonstrate clear outcomes and impact

3. Provide Administrative and communications support

  • Assist in updating funder and individual database on the CRM
  • Work with Fundraising and Communication colleagues to share messages on social media channels, when needed.
  • Assist in developing the Individual Giving programme - this could include writing and editing communications materials to Enrich' s individual donors.

4. Communications support

  • Lead on creating and refining fundraising messaging and narrative, including developing assets for marketing and storytelling
  • Create communications for the Fundraising team as needed, such as original copy writing, editing, translation and graphic design. Coordinate press release writing or press requests for fundraising campaigns where needed.
  • Lead on peer to peer fundraising, supporting donors to set up their page and creating communications to guide fundraisers
  • Support on stakeholder management and relationship development, and help to coordinate community fundraising initiatives

CRITICAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

  • Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration or related major, with experience in sales, marketing, digital or related professional area preferred
  • Knowledge and passion for the work of Enrich
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Competent IT Skills (MS Word, Excel)
  • Communications background, with social media and business writing experience
  • Project management skills
  • Basic graphic design (eg. Canva) and/or website content management an advantage
  • Enthusiastic, proactive and high level of integrity
  • Well-organised, team player and able to work independently

About Enrich

Enrich is a fast growing, dynamic charity working to promote the economic empowerment of migrant domestic workers in Hong Kong. Established in 2007, Enrich provides financial literacy, business development, and empowerment education programmes that allow migrant domestic workers to take greater control of their finances and secure the future for themselves and for their families.

Salary and benefits: HKD 22,000 to HKD 24,000 a month, depending on the level of experience and competencies. We offer 20 days of annual leave, health insurance and contribution to the Mandatory Provident Fund. Other staff benefits include an Employee Assistance Program, offering up to 4 free sessions of counselling. We are a learning organisation and offer development and well being opportunities throughout the year. We currently have a hybrid working model in place, allowing flexibility in working locations within Hong Kong. We have successfully sponsored a number of candidates with employment visas and are able to offer this for the right candidate.
