How did you know about the financial consultation at Enrich?

Have you attended any Enrich workshops in the past? If yes, which workshop?

Do you have loans? Please select the amount of your loans:

Thank you for completing the questionnaire. Based on our assessment, it appears that your debt concerns may require a more comprehensive intervention.

If you are feeling anxious and urgently require counseling, we recommend reaching out to HELP for Domestic Workers. They offer one-to-one mental health support, and you can access their services by visiting HELP for Domestic Workers’ website: https://helpfordomesticworkers.org

For debt counseling specifically, we suggest contacting the following organisations. Please note that both organisations provide services in Cantonese and English. Feel free to contact them for assistance with your debt concerns.

Thank you for completing the questionnaire. Before scheduling an appointment, kindly take a moment to read the following reminders to guide you.

To discuss your debt issue, we may need you to bring the following documents, if available:

  • Loan contract copies
  • Payment receipts
  • Any written agreements or receipts

If you don't have these documents, you will need to fill out another form to list your loans. You can complete this form after you make an appointment. Your form data will be printed and provided to the trainer before the session.

If you need advice regarding a significant financial decision for your business or investment, you can also schedule an appointment.

What to Expect In One-to-One Financial Consultation?

A financial consultation is a service offered by an Enrich facilitator to migrant domestic workers (MDW) seeking guidance and advice on financial matters. Its purpose is to provide initial support in making informed decisions, taking practical steps, and achieving financial goals to improve overall financial well-being.

During a financial consultation, the facilitator assesses the MDW's financial situation, including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities. They also consider the worker's financial habits and relationships. Recommendations and strategies are provided based on this information to optimize the worker's financial situation. Referrals to other NGOs may be made if necessary.

Confidentiality

The one-to-one financial consultation will be confidential, but if at any time the Enrich facilitator feels that there are safety issues concerning you or others, or others’ property, then this confidentiality may be broken. All confidential records remain the property of Enrich.

Boundaries

1 - Correspondences

Emails and/or WhatApp will be the official form of communication for coordination with the Enrich staff and the assigned Enrich facilitator.

Employers who sponsor their helpers for a financial consultation will be informed that the session will not be disclosed but they will be notified whether or not their helper showed up. The employer can engage with the helper regarding details of action points.

2 - Consultation Hours

To schedule a one-on-one consultation, please follow the link provided. Our Enrich staff will coordinate with you to arrange a suitable schedule for the consultation.

3 - Length of Session

One-to-one consultations are scheduled for 1.5 to 2 hours. It is important to start and finish on time, so if you arrive late, your session will still end at the scheduled time. A maximum of two separate sessions can be accommodated. If a follow-up session is needed, the MDW and facilitator will agree on the date and time, and the Enrich staff will be informed to update records and arrange a venue if necessary. After the consultations, the participant is endorsed to participate in our foundation workshop, Money Wise Migrants, to develop better and sustainable money management habits.

4 - Same-Day Appointments

Enrich HK does not offer same-day appointments. If you encounter an urgent issue where you are concerned about your safety or the safety of another person or property, it is recommended to call 999 for immediate assistance. If experiencing anxiety, we recommend contacting HELP for Domestic Workers or Samaritans.

5 - Payment

The one-to-one financial consultation is FREE for self-supporting migrant domestic workers. We encourage an employer of a domestic worker to sponsor their helper for a financial consultation appointment of $250 each session, to cover the costs of running this service.

6 - Cancellations

We understand that same-day cancellations are sometimes inevitable. We encourage cancellations to be done 24 hours in advance to give way to waitlisted appointments.

For employer sponsorships, if an MDW does not show up for a scheduled appointment and no cancellation calls or emails are received, the MDW and/or employer will have to book a new appointment through our website.
